Pointer Can you identify with the following scenario?
The Health Department will soon visit your establishment once again.
They will look at many areas - certainly the cutting boards - and rate them.
If you, or they, can see discoloration on your cutting boards, you have a potential situation needing correction.
Cutting boards, mandated to be used, can be a nuisance to keep clean. As they are used day in and day out, they become "uncleanable".
Your staff uses U.S.D.A. A-1 cleaners, F.D.A.-approved sanitizers - even bleach and block whiteners. Yet they can't get the stain discoloration out. Why?
Pointer You know that food safety is paramount in your business...
With ever emerging "bugs" like e-coli 0157, ebola, West Nile, AIDS, SARS, and a host of others - some food related, some not - all with "cousins" - some pathogenic, some "friendly" - all have one thing in common: they are very small and smaller than "very". They're able to reproduce by the millions, exponentially, within hours.
In a few months, cutting board surfaces are marked with multiple cuts from sharp knives.
These cuts harbor micro -organisms which cannot be removed, continually multiplying, eventually becoming visible discoloration.

Washing, rinsing and sanitizing the boards cannot get rid of this micro-organisms-induced discoloration.

Resurfacing in a nutshell:

  • Removes knife cuts for better sanitation.
  • Increases cutting boards shelf life.
  • Saves you money: no new boards to purchase!
Pointer What about sanding?

The Health Department officer often points out the need for cleaning on their report.
Sometimes they suggest sanding, which we choose not to do, or worse: replacement, which is expensive.
Sanding is an abrasive rubbing process. This application used on a cutting board forces debris down into the plastic to be later released with board usage. The board surface is grooved and uneven when sanded.
Our exclusive resurfacing process evenly removes only the contaminated surface, leaving the board perfectly smooth ready for immediate use.

Pointer This is when we come in!

Cutting Board Resurfacing, LLC. improves this surface sanitation problem by removing knife cuts and areas holding bacteria and other micro-organisms.
Resurfacing:

• Increases shelf life for the consumer
• Increases profitability with less shrink
• Reduces chances of cross contamination
• Increases freshness ar preparation

  Our process exceeds Government standards.
Pointer Sounds great, but how much does it cost?

Resurfacing is about one third of the cost of new H.D.P.E. 3/4" stock cutting boards.
